Milkmaid Movie

Baobab supported Danono Media, a Nigerian film production company in their efforts to promote the launch of the “Milkmaid Movie.”  The film, shot in Taraba State Nigeria, tells the story of two sisters who lives are endangered by threats of insurgency and extremism. 

Our work included media outreach, social media amplification, and partnership management. We hosted private screenings at the the World Bank and United Nations, in partnership with the Spotlight Initiative, curating the guestlist to include entertainment industry, diplomats, business leaders and high level policymakers. . The movie has since won numerous awards including 8 African Movie Awards and was named Nigeria’s official submission to the International Feature Film category of the 2021 Oscars and has been purchased by Amazon Films.
