Open Society Foundation: Digitizing Drug Policy Course

In 2021, Baobab Consulting was hired by Open Society Foundation, in partnership with the Université Gaston Berger in St Louis, to produce a complete online course for their traditionally in person drug policy course, “Human Rights and Drug Policies in Africa.”

Baobab’s impact included researching the leading online education platforms, selecting Thinkific. We coordinated and scheduled 41 recordings, both in person and remotely. Liaising with and ensuring top quality, Baobab edited the lectures to maximize educational value. Furthermore, we, provided translation services to ensure bilingual access. Baobab Consulting continues to oversee the platform to ensure smooth operations, and conducts monitoring and evaluation including. There are currently more than 300 active learners on the platform.

The project provided both Open Society Foundations and the Universite Gaston Berger the opportunity to develop thought leadership in the global drug policy space by expanding their impact and digital footprint.
